‘Escape’, the debut album, out now!

Hello all.

For those that haven’t seen my numerous Facebook, Myspace and Twitter updates over the last couple of days, our debut album Escape is now released.

It can be downloaded for free from the music page of our website. A CD can also be ordered for free on the same page, with a £1 postage and packaging payment (sorry everyone, but we’d be broke if we didn’t charge for the P+P. You’ll get a nice padded envelope though!)

We’re going to start sending it off to various reviewers and radio stations as soon as possible, and we will be booking more gigs up and down the country to promote it.

In other news, the excellent Steve Rawlings played a few tracks from the album on his Erewash Sound radio show the other day, so a massive thank you to him. Check him out on the Erewash Sound website.

Now we’re not holed up in the studio until 1am every night, there will be much more regular updates here, so keep reading everyone.

See you all soon,

Mark

Look, we're not lying. It really exists!

It only took 11 months…

Hello all, time for the official album announcement.

Our debut album ‘Escape’ will be released on Friday 28th May. It will be available on this website as a free download, and also available to order on CD for only a small charge to cover the postage and packaging.

This will follow our gig at The Blessington Carriage in Derby the night before, where we will be giving out free CD copies of the album to anybody who wants one.

The gig is free entry, the CD is free. What more could you ask for?… No, I won’t buy you a pint as well!

First gigs of the year!

Hello all,

Well, the album’s nearly finished. I can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel.

And that light might well be a 10-ton truck heading for us, as all of a sudden we seem to be booking gigs again, without having practiced for the best part of half a year! But that doesn’t matter, as we’re on it now, with multiple practices a week.

For those that have seen us before, expect a different show to last year. Many new songs, different set lists, set designs etc.

The first gig is Friday 30th April, in Burton On Trent. A venue called The Corner House. We haven’t played there before, so it should be quite a good night.

Almost a month later we are playing at The Blessington Carriage in Derby, on Thursday 27th May. We played there a few years ago, but a whole new purpose built venue has been set up there, so we are extremely looking forward to this.

It’d be nice to see a few people at these gigs, more info over the coming weeks.

And some kind of album announcement as well!

Thanks for reading,

Mark

Nearly there…

Good evening all,

First update of the new year. It it will be just that – an update, as there’s not too much to report on at the minute.

All our energies over the last few months have been spent on recording our album. I’d say now it’s probably about 70% complete. I think the March deadline I stated in my last update may have been a little ambitious, but at the time I wasn’t aware of how much chocolate and Only Fools And Horses DVDs I’d have to get through after Christmas.

We’re back on it now though. My new prediction is April/May.

For those of you who can’t wait until then, I’ve uploaded a couple of videos to our Youtube page, showing a bit of ‘insider knowledge’ of how we’ve been recording the album. Mainly just videos of me dicking around in the studio, but I plan to upload more and make it a regular thing in an attempt to document the recording process. Obviously that document would’ve been better if I hadn’t waited for the album to be 70% complete before I started it, but oh well.

Finally, just a quick thank you to all those of you who downloaded our Christmas song. I decided on how many downloads I was hopeful of getting before I uploaded the song, but the actual amount we’ve had is 4x that, so thank you very much.

Finally, just a quick reminder. For those that are that way inclined we have a Facebook page, a Myspace page and a Twitter page. Feel free to become a fan, friend, follow us or stalk us on any of those.

We’ve also got a mailing list that you can sign up for on our Website.

Until next time, bye bye.

Christmas song is released. For FREE!

Hello all,

This will probably be our last update of the year. Our Christmas song ‘The Town That Christmas Forgot’ is now available for download on our website. We put it up briefly last year (about 2 days before Christmas if I remember!), but it’s now had a new mix and some bits re-recorded. Download it for FREE from here. Hope you enjoy it!

Briefly, in other news, the album is probably about half done at the minute. I imagine it should be finished for around March next year. And dates will also start appearing in our gig diary early next year too. Including a few dates up and down the country to promote the album once it’s done.

That’s all for now. Merry Christmas everyone, enjoy the Christmas song and see you next year.

New site…

…coming soon!
